In my many years at Marian House it has been very rewarding, particularly as a mentor to support all
new care staff. Management have always been very supportive throughout the years regarding any
work issues and in particular personal loss within the family on more than one occasion.
Over the last few years, I have worked with a strong experienced team to give quality care to all our
residents. Whether we are in caring, domestic, kitchen or laundry we all help each other when
needed in the day to day running of the home.
I am happy to continue to give my support at Marian House hopefully in the years to come.

I enjoy working at Marian House Nursing Home because I love the opportunity to care for the
residents living here. Working within a Safe and Caring team I enjoy the friendly environment in
which we offer our care. With the positive and warm environment I get the opportunity to hear the
stories our residents love to share.

I have worked at Marian House now for nearly three years. I actually left to move to Scotland and
came back as I missed it so much! Marian House feels like family and that is why I love working here.
I feel supported by my colleagues and love making a difference to the residents lives with the
activities that we put together. I love the creativity my job role as Activities Co-ordinator offers
including the season celebrations that we arrange for the residents and families alike. I have loved

the opportunity to raise money for our resident’s activity fund through raffles and events I organise. I
recently bought a projector and screen for us to watch films on which the residents enjoy. I am also a
yoga and chair exercise instructor and enjoy running sessions as much as possible. Giving back and
being of service is what this job offers and I am thankful that I can do this is a happy and well cared
for work environment.
