A Compassionate Care Home With a Fulfilling Life

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were so nervous about putting our dad, Tony, into a nursing home. It’s one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, but from the very beginning every single member of staff put our minds at ease and reassured us. The love, care and kindness you showed Dad every single day is something we’ll never forget. You treated Tony with so much dignity, respect and compassion. Every single nurse and care assistant worked so incredibly hard, and no matter how busy you all were, you always made time for Dad and for us as a family. We honestly can’t thank you enough. Looking back, choosing this nursing home for Dad was one of the best decisions we ever made. Knowing Tony was surrounded by such genuine, caring people gave us so much comfort and reassurance. It feels strange to say, but we’re really going to miss coming to visit. The home became such a big part of our lives, and you all became part of our family too. Thank you for everything you did for our Dad. We’ll never forget your kindness and the love you showed Tony. You’ll always hold a special place in our hearts.

Dear Marion House Team, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Marion House for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion you showed our beautiful mom Joan room 22 during the final week of her life. From the moment mom arrived, you treated her with dignity, respect, and genuine warmth. Knowing she was surrounded by such caring people brought great comfort to me and my twin sister during an incredibly difficult time. Your support extended beyond Mum’s care—you were there for us too, offering reassurance, kindness, and understanding when we needed it most. Please pass on our sincere gratitude to Jay (James), Becky, Richard, Nicola, and all the staff who cared for Mum in Room 22. You made a lasting difference to our family, and we will never forget the compassion you showed us. Thank you for helping Mum spend her final days in comfort and with dignity. Both me and my twin only found out 4 weeks ago our mom had cancer. This was a very tough time for us. As soon as my mom was transferred to Marian house we knew we chose the right place, Becky was absolutely amazing from the start and all the way through to the end, and Jay (James) omg my mom loved him and so did we. Not only did we lose our mom but it felt like we were losing the little family we had build in the 1 week she was there. 100% recommend this care/nursing home to any. They didn’t just look after our mom but also us, every staff member was so kind and caring to all of us. Thank you again for keeping our mom safe and out of pain. Andrea and Samantha (Joan room 22) we will be forever grateful. You are all a credit to Marian house and your boss should be proud of every single one of you, cleaners, cooks, office staff, nurses, caregivers everyone at the Walmley residence. Thank you.

This nursing home is outstanding. From entering the front door to leaving it you are greeted with warmth and cheer. Our Dad was given six weeks but lived very happily for six months, this was due to the care he received from the wonderful people here. He was treated with respect, kindness and great humour. Kindness and compassion was also extended to us as a family. Nothing was too much trouble, an extra pillow or blanket or my Dad’s favourite a cup of tea, all done with a smile. I wish I could give more stars but there aren’t enough to express the excellence of this home and the wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this nursing home.
