Well… let’s just say the fascinators didn’t exactly fly off the shelves this year 😄
But in true Marian House style, there’s always one who rises to the occasion — and we think Emmanuel absolutely nailed it! 👏✨ Honestly, we’re considering making it part of his uniform 🤣
To everyone else who chose not to participate - we see you 👀 there’s always next year — bigger, bolder and with even more feathers🪶
We also got into the spirit by chatting about what it would be like to own our own horses and what it takes to look after them 🐎
And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a little competition… who could come up with the best horse name 🏆 Let’s just say there were some very creative entries!

More fantastic feedback following collaboration with local Universities and a recent Student Nurse placement.
I finished my placement at Marian House in December and I had the most amazing experience. I would like to especially thank Becky Evans my assessor, who could not do enough for me to make sure I felt supported as a student and that all my learning needs were met by the end of my placement, I have never had an assessor so attentive and supportive before. I have never before had a placement whereby I felt so part of the team. Both the nurses and care team were lovely and amazing to work with. I feel very fortunate that I got to work amongst them and be apart of their team for 9 weeks. It was lovely to build rapports with the amazing residents within the home and just wanted to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at Marian house, you have really helped to shape my experience as a student nurse.
