This week has probably been one of the most physically challenging weeks our team at Marian House has faced, with 5 consecutive days of exceptionally high temperatures.
Despite the heat, our incredible care team, nurses, office staff, domestics and kitchen team have continued to give their all, ensuring that everyone remained safe, comfortable, hydrated and cared for with the kindness and compassion that makes Marian House so special.
While many people were able to escape the heat, our dedicated staff continued to work tirelessly, checking on everybody more frequently, providing extra refreshments, adapting routines where needed and maintaining the highest standards of care throughout the heatwave.
We are immensely proud of every single member of our team. Their commitment, resilience, teamwork and genuine dedication never go unnoticed. Whether delivering personal care, preparing nutritious meals, keeping our home clean and comfortable, managing essential administration, or supporting families and visitors, everyone has played a vital role.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful staff for going above and beyond during such demanding conditions. Your hard work, professionalism, and caring nature are what make Marian House feel like home.

Our 1960s & 70s Theme Day was in full swing at Marian House✌️🕺🌼
We enjoyed getting dressed up in fabulous fancy dress outfits before the weather got a little too 🥵 A few Snapchat filters also brought plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day 😊📸
We’ve also enjoyed delicious refreshing fruit platters, including blueberries, peaches, nectarines, pineapple, melon and strawberries – the perfect treat for a warm day 🍓🍍🫐🍑
