Marian House is purpose built and has 42 attractively decorated and well-furnished single rooms, many with en-suite facilities. All rooms are fitted with a monitored nurse call system. The home benefits from wide corridors,a passenger lift and an easy ramp access to the attractive garden. There is a terraced area where residents can sit and enjoy the open space.
The home is equipped with lifting aids and hoist for residents with specialised mobility needs. All the beds have recently been replaced by latest adjustable beds and pressure mattresses. A hydrotherapy unit has also been recently installed.
The residents have a choice of two lounges where they can relax, participate in activities or simply enjoy the company of others. The one lounge extends into the delightful dining room and looks onto the garden. The quiet lounge is separate and is also available for private family functions at a small charge.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with treasured possessions such as photographs, pictures or ornaments etc. Televisions can be brought in from home and all rooms have telephone points. We offer free Wi-Fi throughout the home and we can arrange for Skype video or Face Time calls if required.
All residents undergo an assessment prior to admission. This ensures we are able to meet an individual’s needs. This is followed by an in depth holistic assessment on admission.
We recognise that leaving one’s home to come into care is a major step and it can be a very stressful decision, therefore all admissions are initially for a trial period of four weeks.
At Marian House a combination of excellent facilities and a dedicated well trained team of staff provide a comfortable home for the discerning Service User.

All staff undergo extensive training and our commitment to continually improve our standards is reflected in our ongoing training programme. Marian House offers its Service Users 24 hour nursing care and GP cover.
